Darlo's Moose & Mountie SpecTAPular report

A sunny day, 19 great Canadian craft beers on tap and a queue of people from 11.30am indicated we were set for a big day. From opening at midday the enthusiasts poured in to get a taste and the main issue was to determine which beer to double up on the fourth paddle to fill the 20th spot.

Staff dressed in hunting gear, lumberjacks/jills and twin mounties got the crowd in the mood while Robbie and the team had the poutine flowing! Anticipation was high that a moose may drop in - indeed there were reported sightings by a few merry revellers!

Competition was tight to see which keg would blow first with the honour going the the... Les Trois Mousquetaires Kellerbier. By the end of the night 9 beers had blown.

As we moved into the afternoon there wasn't an empty seat in the house. Joel and the band got the crowd dancing through the evening. There was strong Canadian representation, with David making the trip up from Canberra and many Canadian accents heard around the hotel through the evening.

Stay tuned for our next Spectapular - Oktoberfest on 9 October.
